HDMI audio from phone to TV Empty HDMI audio from phone to TV

I've noticed that HDMI behavior tends to be different for various phones and phone/TV combinations.

For the Pro version of SoundAbout there is a Media audio output setting called "Aux Digital(HDMI)". If that doesn't work, then the phone might not be sending HDMI intents using the Android SDK, or the phone/TV combination might not work. Others have said that they get better results with a different micro USB to HDMI cable. Some need a MHL adapter.
