Car HandsFree does not hang up

Helo together,

I have a Nexus 5, and I am using soundabout pro (the actual beta version)

The first try was with CM 11, after installing the beta version soundabout was working as expected.
BUT
I had some issues with the bluetooth connection, after a long search I remarked that some rom have problem wit bluetooth.
So I changed and found out that mahdi works as the best.
Fast performance on the N5 and a very stable bluetooth connection
BUT
if I try the settings, the handsfree signs me a call, I hear the voice from soundabout but if it ends the handsfree
goes to "privacy mode" (Ford Sync Gen1/ Sony) an does NOT hang up.
I have to toggle from privacy mode to normal and can hang up manually.

Is there something I can change in the settings?
Will it helps if I use an other kernel or rom?

Hi all,

I have some new s.
I tried diffrent customs roms and custom kernels.

CM11 M9 with includer kernel works as the best.

Mahdi with include kernel and also faux123, elemtalx kernel
Slimkat with included and fauxkernel
I have the problem as described above.

I also noticed two diffrent things.

If I use Ivona as TTS for Soundabout the car kit goes to private call.
If i use the new Google TTS for Soundabout it remains
but in both case the first 3 or 4 seconds are missing - I am only hearing "....... about" (zhanks you for using s is missing) and the car kit does not end the call.

Is this a kown issue?
I would be happy to use mahdi rom but also want to use soundabout.

I'll have to look at that. I am currently using SlimKat with Android 4.4.4.

Also, what settings are you using in SoundAbout? Do you have a screen shot app so that you can attach screen shots?

sorry I can´t send you a screenshot but I used the standard settings,
2 Things I have changed.
TTS output -> BT mono
Media Output -> speaker

It works with CM11 very good. And I bought also the CarPilot Navigation, cause Google Maps looks very interesting but the issue with the voices (yes I did the changes) i not so good for me. It works but car pilot is much better as you mentioned.

I love your app, I love the N5 and also Mahdi.Rom, but have to use CM11.

today I tried it again.
Clean install of Mahdi-Rom. Gapps as suggested, no other kernel.

Installed the latest beta of soundabout,
using Copilot premium.
Settings of Copilot -> Audio out -> com.woodslink.android.wired....

Settings of soundabout
-> media Audio -> Speaker
-> test to speach beahvior -> Audio Output -> BT(mono)

The first few seconds were still missing.
CarAudio did NOT hang up the "call"
If I press 3 or 4 times in Copilot to repeat the message, I still get the garbled messages BUT the call was closed.

I think it is an issue with Mahdi-Rom,
so I go to CM11

Yes, different ROMs can make a difference. It's not easy to pinpoint audio differences in various phones and ROMs. I think audio is the toughest part to nail down in Android (compatibility wise).

Media audio can probably be set to "Let app decide" unless there is some Bluetooth A2DP device around that you don't want to connect to.

You can also set delays in the SoundAbout TTS settings if you are missing the first second or two of the directions.
