Music apps starting up upon outgoing call completion

I purchased Soundabout a couple of days ago to route calls through the headphone jack while the phone was plugged into the stereo in my car.  I changed no settings from default, the app worked as desired right from the start.  At least I thought so until today, when I placed the first outgoing call since installing the app.  What I've discovered is that when an outgoing call disconnects, now my default music apps open and begin playing.  If I force stop Soundabout from the app manager, I can place and disconnect outgoing calls normally, so it is obvious it has something to do with your app.

So, is this a bug, or do I need to change a setting in your app?  What's the fix?

No what happens is that during a phone call, SoundAbout checks if any media is playing. If so it logs that it was playing before the phone call.

Then it pauses any media players during the call.

After the call, if it detected media was playing before the call, then it tries to resume it.

It must be detecting something running that is considered a media player.

I will have to take a closer look.

It is opening and playing apps that were not open, even in a paused state. At first, it opened and played both the stock music app and Google's. I restarted the phone trying to solve, and then it would open only Google's music app.

Can you get Beta version 2.5.5.3 from the thread below and let me know how it works.

There was an update today I tried- no luck. Then I tried the beta, and it solved the problem.

I just recently installed the latest Google Play edition 2.5.8.0 and licensed. I've got the same issue precisely. Samsung Galaxy S4 4.3. I don't even use the stock music player and every time I hang up, it starts playing. Super annoying. Had to freeze it with Titanium.

That is strange. I took out the code that pauses music when the phone call occurs and then continues it afterward.

The only code that continues music now, is when plugging/unplugging wired headphones.

If you go into "Wired headset behavior" are the "Un-plug...." and "Plug..." setting checked?

Let me know what settings are checked.

Also, Give this Beta a try. There are also a lot of new Notification/Ringer settings.

You may want to clear the app cache and data, install and restart the phone.
