Auto Restart misses bluetooth A2DP headset connection -stays off

Hi!

I'm using completely stock Nexus 5 with a Jawbone ERA 2014 headset, and Soundabout PRO.

Settings: Default, except
"Notification Behavior": Block Notifications to Speaker

"Soundabout Service":ON- Auto Restart

For the first few days, once I turn on the jawbone ERA, soundabout activates, toasts "Bluetooth ERA Headset connected", Soundabout icon appears in notification bar.

But now, it misses the connection from the headset. I turn the headset on, Soundabout does not come on, no notification icon, no toast message. Of course, notification still plays on speaker and headset.

It only works if I leave Soundabout Service to "ON-Foreground"

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but the first time the failed auto restart happened after I listened to music (Google Play Music) over the Jawbone ERA.

Any suggestions?
