2.5.0 Issues on Note II

Since the latest update, when unplugging headphones, Google Music will start playing through the speaker. This is especially odd, because I don't use Google Music player in the first place... SoundAbout is actually opening and playing the app without my input.

I've tried every permeation of settings I can find, including reinstalling the app from scratch. Turning off plug in detection stops this issue, but creates and different one and Google Music Player launches by default is plugging in headphones.

Open SoundAbout, go into the "Wired Headset behavior....". Then un-check "Un-plug pauses music player" and "Plug-in continues music player" settings.

Did that, no joy... Did it again just now to be sure.

The kicker is that Google Music isn't even my default music player, PowerAmp is, and PowerAmp works as expected.

Actually, you know what....I think Google Play music is doing this itself. I've noticed it opening up on it's own when plugging or unplugging a headset.

Other people have had that issue with Google Play music.

That's describing a totally different issue in which Google Music persists in the background, my issue is that Google Music actually starts playing via the speaker when I unplug my headphones... And it started immediately after the latest SoundAbout update and had never happened before.

I can disable/uninstalling Google Music and essentially fix the issue... But I do use Google Music from time to time, so it's not so elegant.

Look for the latest Beta Version 2.5.1.1. Try installing that and see if the problem goes away.
