HTC DNA: Beats Audio

This app fixed my DNA's inability to play through headphones. However, the app routing sound to headphones doesn't allow me to enable my phone's Beats Audio feature since the DNA still doesn't officially recognize that headphones are plugged in and still thinks that it is playing through speaker. Is there any way around this?

I can't send an intent that a headset is plugged in or out. I can only detect it. This capability was removed from Android.
