Is it possible to have the headset overwrite the media audio setting (currently set to play media audio via Bluetooth)? If not, would you consider this as a new feature?

Is the media audio set to Bluetooth mono or Bluetooth A2DP?

Having the Media audio setting on "Let app decide" should do allow Bluetooth A2DP automatically. If the Bluetooth A2DP headset is off/disconnected and the phone is detecting headsets properly, then the audio will be sent to the wired headset when it is plugged in.
