I'll try the security standpoint. I just uploaded new versions for Pro.
You many have to clear cache and data and un-install first. Then install this.

OK, I made the test SoundAbout Pro install have it's own icon (like it used to). It will call Google and open the main SoundAbout app if everything is OK.

Let's see if this runs or at least pops up a useful error message. This install will create a 2nd icon (SoundAbout Pro). Click this new icon and see what messages pop up.

The issue has been found. It was a permission issue.

The new version has been upload to Google Play.
