LG G4 - Want to Connect to Gym Speaker System

Hi everyone,

I have an LG G4, on which I downloaded SoundAbout. The speaker at my gym has a USB connection through with people play music off of their iPhones. I downloaded this app and connected my phone via USB, but the music still plays from the phone's speakers, not the gym's speakers. It's reads that the phone is connected but won't play the music. Is there a setting I'm missing?

I also tried a cord that allows me to connect the phone by making my adapter resemble an iPhone, but that failed. However, the cord did work on an iHome system.

Any ideas, or do you think the sound system won't allow this to work no matter what?

The phone does need to have a driver for USB audio.  Was the cord you tried an OTG cable?

I don't think it was. I looked on Amazon for an OTG cable but they all seem to have a male and female side; I would need male to male like my phone charger. If my charger can transfer data on and off the phone to the computer, do you think it is OTG?

The OTG will connect to the phone.  The other end allows a USB cable to connect to your phone.  

Then you probably need a double male USB cable to go from the OTG cable to a speaker.

I finally got the OTG cable which I hooked up to a male to male USB cord. But now when I go into SoundAbout, it looks like options are grayed out because I have the free version. Is this why it won't work now? I don't want to get the paid version until I know it will work. Thanks so much!

1) Go into phone settings
2) Press on apps
3) Scroll to SoundAbout, and press it.
4) Press clear cache, clear data, force stop, and un-install
