Audio routing issues

Having a lot of problems with audio routing since upgrading to 6.0.1 on my nexus 7 2013. I use a bluetooth car kit for the physical buttons to play/pause and skip tracks. I have been able to use soundabout in the past to route the audio to my usb DAC without issues. Now if I run soundabout, no matter what I pick for the media audio, it always plays out the tablet speaker. It even says speaker in the notification, but when I open the app it still shows usb host.

Even if I disconnect my bluetooth kit it still won't play out the usb unless i disable the service. Any time I kill the app or reboot and go back into it, it goes back to "let app decide" for both audio paths. Any ideas?

In Android 6.0 +, The USB may require the permission WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE.

Can you try the latest Beta and see if the permission change does it?
