S7 active all sounds muted or through phone speaker

Bluetooth works for some notifications but not all. Wired headset only mutes everything for a second. No sounds at all.

It's not clear what you are trying to accomplish. What settings are you using in SoundAbout?

SoundAbout cannot force notification audio to play over Bluetooth. It can redirect notification audio away from Bluetooth, but it cannot force notification audio to play over Bluetooth.

What are you trying to mute when a wired headset is plugged in? Are you trying to mute all notifications?

Also, can you try the latest Beta as there are some fixes for these settings.

I am trying to get all notifications to play through either my wired headset or my Bluetooth. This is not happening. It is only muting the sounds for a second but there is no notification. I have tried every single setting combination that there is. All with the same result. No notifications are coming through on my wired headset. Only some notifications, like my timer, come through the Bluetooth. No text messages and no phone calls are coming through on either device.

Bluetooth may not be possible, if the device is not A2DP for media. Media Bluetooth devices should be able to handle notifications, but this can vary for different phones and headsets.

You should be able to get notifications to come through a wired headset (and not the speaker if no wanted).

One thing to watch, when you plug in the wired headset, or connect Bluetooth, change the volume and press the little down arrow or setting icon in the volume dialog. This show all the other possible volume settings. You notification volume may be at zero. These settings can be separate for each audio device.

Thank you. All of those things have been tried multiple times. I am beginning to think that it's a S7 active thing and the app simply isn't going to work to override it. I would uninstall it but I have found other features in the app that I like so I will keep it for now.

I have a regular S7.

If you go into Settings - Applications - Applications Manager and scroll down to Messages and click it. Are the notifications blocked?

Nope. Sound about is allowed as well as my messaging app. Even checked the pro unlocked.

Has this been an issue since you've first gotten the phone?

Yes it has. Many people are complaining about it. Sound about was suggested as a possible solution on one of the other forums I was reading but it looks like it isn't going to solve the issue either though

Yeppers. Stinx because otherwise I would love the phone. Have to constantly be checking to see if I have missed something important though.
