Bluetooth settings for calls.
Hi. Just got myself some bluetooth earphones and realised that the text and ringtone audio still came through to my phone speakers when my earphones were connected. Found out about the soundabout app and downloaded it. Managed to turn off the phone speakers for texts, but still when I get a call I get the ringing through the phone and through my earphones. Settings all seem to be correct, but can't seem to shut off phone speakers for calls only. I have downloaded the latest beta update too. Any help appreciated.

Re: Bluetooth settings for calls.
For most Bluetooth headsets that support both Bluetooth media and Bluetooth phone profiles, there is no way to get the ringtones to play on the Bluetooth media connection (Bluetooth phone connection plays it's own beeping when phone rings). The Bluetooth phone profile overrides everything when the phone starts ringing and there is no way to get around it. That being said, I should be able to at least turn off the phone speaker when the phone is ringing.
Can you try the latest Beta here:
https://soundabout.forumotion.com/f8-download-beta-versions
After installing the Beta and restarting the phone:
1] Open SoundAbout
2] Click on "Alert behavior"
3] If you are listening to music on Bluetooth media headset, click "Bluetooth (A2DP) behavior".
4] You will see settings for Notifications and Ringtones. The ringtones will probably not play on the headset if it also supports Bluetooth phone (and is connected). If you go into the Android pairing settings and uncheck the Bluetooth phone connection for your headset, you will probably then hear the ringtone on the headset.
This is obviously not a solution, if you plan on using the headset for phone calls, but is meant as a demonstration for showing how Bluetooth phone connection will trump everything.

Re: Bluetooth settings for calls.
Thanks, I will be using the headset for calls occasionaly. The issue wasn't that I didn't hear my ringtone in the headset, I understand the headset is just a beep and not the actual ringtone, but the problem is that I get the beep in my ear and the phone speaker still plays the ringtone. I thought the app was supposed to shut the phone speaker off when bluetooth device was connected.

Re: Bluetooth settings for calls.
In the latest Beta version, it should shut off the speaker with the settings above and the "Bluetooth (A2DP) behavior" / "Ringtones to:" set to either "A2DP only" (probably won't happen), or "Neither (vibrate)", or "Neither (silent)".
Re: Bluetooth settings for calls.
Can you try the version that I just posted now?
