Soundabout has stopped (nvidia shield tv)

The application immediately closes with the message Soundabout has stopped. This on my nvidia shield tv android 5.1 tablet

Is this a tablet or an Android TV box?

Nvidia Shield Android TV box

It's coming with a remote that have a jack. Sound can go through jack if i plug headphone in it otherwise it's going through hdmi. I would like to use my Rii i28 remote which comes with a usb dongle and also have jack output. The trouble is that as soon as i plug its usb dongle to the shield box, it redirects the sound to the rii i28 remote so i don't have sound anymore through hdmi. On my older android box i could choose the sound output but i can't directly on the shield

That can be tough. I don't know where the audio redirection is occurring. It might not be occurring within Android but through the hardware.
