Route phone call audio over mhl/hdmi

Hi

Somewhere on androidcentral i saw a version once included phone call through hdmi but in the current version it is not possible anymore
Can someone explain me why this is removed or how i play my phone calls through the mhl / hdmi interface.

It may have been in there, but no one ever used it, so it was removed. I will have to put it in and upload a Beta so you can see if it works.

I've never gotten confirmation that HDMI phone calls worked.

Can you try it using the latest Beta version?

I use Sony Z3 compact as my car entertainment center. When I play videos from youtube I can see and listen it on my car desktop connected by MHL/HDMI cable. But when somebody calls me I can hear ringtone and caller only by phone speaker NOT by MHL/HDMI. I don't know why. Can somebody help me PLEASE...
ps. I have Sound About Pro.

The Android audio policy manager is not allowing the HDMI audio output for phone calls.
My guess is that using the microphone from the phone and the audio from the HDMI device (car) would cause feedback and you would hear an awful squeal. I get this behavior when I call my cell from my computer (in the same room) and put my phone on speakerphone.

Thank you for reply. Sound squel depends on how loud you listen the caller from car speakers and where is located microphone. If not to loud everything will be ok.
Many applications which record voice calls can grab audio streams from speaker and microphone (i.e. ACR) and save as a file. Maybe you can use VOICE_CALL/VOICE_DOWNLINK/VOICE_UPLINK/VOICE_COMMUNICATION or another function to redirect voice streams do MHL/HDMI? Many users waiting for that.
