I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. I can not hear the ringer if I am in another room. I have a small speaker I can hook up and just leave on, but while music plays over the speaker, Notifications will not unless the music happens to be playing when the notification comes in. Can I make this work? Sorry to sound stupid, but when it comes to electronics I am.

Is the speaker hooked up via 3.5mm headset cable or is the speaker a Bluetooth speaker. Some phones will differ on where they send notification audio.

It is a 3.5.....I just tried to post a link to the unit I have but the syste would not let me. It is a IC3 android Dock with speaker. Thanks
