SoundAbout crash on Nexus Player running 6.0.1
I'm trying to use SoundAbout on a Nexus Player running a custom 6.0.1 rom, but it keeps crashing on execution. I was able to get an older version (2.5.x.x), but it gets JRE errors and won't actually change the audio input. What I'm trying to do is use a Mele F10 Pro remote with the audio feature on the Nexus, but direct the audio out the HDMI instead of the Mele. As soon as the Mele's dongle is plugged in, all audio is routed through the remote.
I've tried several versions of SoundAbout, but any other version than the 2.5.x.x version I found either crash on execution, or freeze at a SoundAbout screen. All the newer versions do bring up the purchase pro screen, and the newest versions do clear the cache on their first execution, they just fault out after that.

I have tried the latest beta but the app still crashes on my nexus player. Is there any way I can provide useful information?
Edit: just tried full cache clear. uninstalled and reinstalled the app without luck.

Confirmed not working on Shield TV either. However if all you want to do is to disable audio routing to the remote you can follow this guide /mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/596615-The-Droid-TV-thread?p=13722624&viewfull=1#post13722624

Re: SoundAbout crash on Nexus Player running 6.0.1
I have addressed some issues that may help the Android 6 issue.
The latest beta includes both SoundAbout and SoundAbout Pro beta. If you try un-installed both from the device and installing these new Beta versions it may resolve the Android 6 issue. Restart the phone after installing.

Latest beta doesn't work on Nvidia Shield TV (stock rooted firmware 3.0 under android M)
Crash on startup...
Any idea?

I would pay for your app if:
- it works on Nvidia Shield TV
- There is a Tasker plugin to switch output (Hdmi / USB DAC), or at least you give access to broadcast intent
Thanks for your work

Re: SoundAbout crash on Nexus Player running 6.0.1
Sorry,
The regular 9 - 5 job has been keeping me too busy to catch up on SoundAbout emails.
I haven't exposed broadcast events because the support would be crazier than it already is.
New versions have just been uploaded to Google play that will address various issues on Android 6+.
You can get them now from the Beta section located here (need a login to the message board). There is also Betas for SoundAbout and SoundAbout Pro.
