Earpiece problem first solved then re-appeared

After downloading SoundAbout, the problem I had (Huawei phone) of not hearing calls through earpiece was solved.

Now it has re-appeared and I can hear calls only through speaker or headphones as before (I've purchased the the pro version).

Please advise.

SoundAbout can't actually fix the problem.

What SoundAbout has to do is detect that a headset is plugged in (even if it really isn't), and put the audio back to where you want it.

What could be happening is that the phone is now sending the headset plug-in signal very frequently and SoundAbout can't keep up. If SoundAbout tries to rapidly keep changing the audio, it will drain the battery.

The phone is not displaying a "headset" icon (so not sure if it's the same problem)... The thing I can't understand is how come it worked the first time I downloaded the app and stopped working next time I tried (including after buying the pro version)... If the problem is due headset detection issue, it shouldn't have been able to solve the problem in the first place, correct?

It's hard to tell. Some phones have the headset icon and other do not. It could be a loose connection to that earpiece speaker or it could be something else running on the phone.
